Dr Marisa Farrugia presented her Letters of Credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Malta to the President of the Republic of Poland, H.E. Andrzej Duda at the Belvedere Palace on the 25th October 2021. 
 
During her exchange with H.E. the President, Her Excellency Dr Farrugia recalled the excellent relations between the two countries as well as the mutual desire to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in several existing areas through dialogue and visits. During the exchange, the 50th Anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malta and Poland was mentioned. 

Following the ceremony at the Belvedere Palace, Ambassador Farrugia proceeded to the Monument of the Tomb of the Unknown Solider, situated in Marshall Jozef Pilsudski Square, and paid tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the two world wars. 

Ambassador Farrugia was accompanied by members of her family and Mr Shaun Chircop, Second Secretary, from the Embassy of Malta in Warsaw.
