Malta Signs the Amending Protocol to the Double Taxation Agreement between Malta and Poland

On Monday, 30th November, 2020, the ambassador of the Republic of Malta to Poland, HE Dr. John Paul Grech signed on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Malta, the amending protocol to the Double Taxation Agreement between the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Malta.

The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Poland in Warsaw.

On the Polish side, the amending protocol was signed by the Under-Secretary of State within the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Poland, the Hon. Jan Sarkowski.

The amending Protocol seeks to continue to promote a sustained and reciprocally beneficial economic cooperation between the two countries in line with Malta and Poland’s EU and OECD international commitments and initiatives, aimed at counteracting tax base erosion and profit shifting.
