Presentation of Credentials in Israel.

On Wednesday 11 November 2020, Mr Patrick Cole presented his Letters of Credence to H.E. Reuven Rivlin, President of the State of Israel, appointing him as Malta’s Ambassador to Israel.

The ceremony took place in the grounds of the President’s Residence in Jerusalem.

Following the ceremony, he was invited to the Audience Hall for a short meeting with the President who spoke about the excellent bilateral relations as well as the similarities between the two countries, both being in the Mediterranean and that we should forge even closer diplomatic ties. The President wished the Ambassador every success during his term in Israel.

At the end of the audience, Ambassador Cole signed the Visitors’ Book and on exiting the building the band played the Hatikvah, Israel’s national anthem. Ambassador Cole was accompanied by his wife, Mrs Josephine Cole and Deputy Head of Mission, Ms Joanna Pisani.

The Ambassadors of Australia, Guatemala, Cyprus and Turkmenistan also presented their credentials on the same day.
