The Honorary Consul of Malta in St. Petersburg, Mr. Oleg Onokov, participated at the important commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of the utterly devastating Nazi blockade on Leningrad during WWII.
During this blockade more than 800’000 civilians were killed but notwithstanding this devastation, the people of Leningrad, today St. Petersburg, endured alone but heroically against the might of the Nazi war machine.
The Honorary Consul of Malta placed a wreath of flowers at the Piskariovskoe Memorial Cemetery.
